Born in 1974
Tanya has a fascination with animals and their representations in art, from the prehistoric to the contemporary. Her key interest is in what animals signify to man and how we characterise them, from the theatre to toys. Tanya is a sculptress, producing ceramic pieces in paper-clay, which are then high fired. Each piece is unique and surprisingly strong.
Her work has been described as ‘fantastical, mysterious, powerful, passionate and enchanting’.
