Paul Evans

Paul studied Illustration and Printmaking at Eastbourne College of Art and Design (1972-76) and has been a full-time artist since graduating.

He is widely known for his highly individual watercolours, acrylics and etchings inspired by East Anglia's landscape and coast, the Sussex Downs, the Kent Weald and Cornwall's rugged coast and moorland. His paintings explore locations in detail through all times of the year to convey a deep sense of place.

Last year he was awarded joint second at the 'Not the Turner Prize'.

His work is collected worldwide.
