Libby Edmondson was born in 1942 in Lytham St Anne's. Trained as a teacher, she taught art at secondary school level for many years, whilst also creating her own sculptural work in ceramic and bronze. A move to Cumbria ten years ago prompted a shift to painting.
Much of Libby's work is inspired by the local landscape of the Lake District. She paints mainly in acrylic with a vibrant palette.
Libby has exhibited in Penrith, Ambleside, Worcester, Slimbridge and London.
