Calum MacFarlane-Barrow

Calum was born in the Highlands of Scotland in 1932. He grew up there and it has remained his home ever since.

From his early childhood he has always been fascinated with the sea and its ever-changing moods and has also always had a great appreciation of the Scottish mountain scenery.

It is only during the past 10 years that he found time to take up painting seriously and has begun exhibiting throughout Scotland and at Iona House Gallery.

Nearly all his work, whether in oils or acrylic, is done by knife - stemming from an impromptu lesson given by the late Sir Kyffin Williams, the Welsh artist, in 1965.

Calum is happy to undertake commissions.
